The Birth of a Screenplay

Hello All,

This blog is going to be all about the writing of my screenplay, which is based on my semi-autobiographical book, Diary of a Dysfunctional Flight Attendant: The Queen of Sky Blog. I plan to include polls, plot outlines, scene snippets and plenty of other fun things here. Most of all, I'd like for you, dear reader, to participate in this project. I'm a first-time screenwriter, so I need all the help I can get!

Disclaimer: this blog will include some spoilers, but I'll try to keep Act 3 a secret. Also, if you give me feedback and/or suggestions, I can't guarantee that you will get credit for it in the film. But, of course, you'll receive my heartfelt gratitude and maybe even a ticket to the premiere! :-D

Well, what a coincidence I found your blog on Blogger through the "Austin " tag.

Cause I'm in Ausitn too. And I've embarded upon writing a musical! I've got a bunch of songs written and have a loose idea but I really need to write a story. Yes, act 3 important.

You're a first-time screenplay writer and I'm a first time musical writer --- need all the help I can get too.

It's soooo fun tho and I'm having a blast.

Maybe we'll become bloggin' buds - you never know in this wild wonderful town. It might even be fun to meet in person!

embarked.

You'll find my spelling can get pretty bad, for a writer.

Hi Ellen.

No, I wasn't really planning on setting up a Blogger blog too, but directing traffic to my site.

How long have you been writing the screenplay? What percentage finished would you say it is? Do you belong to a writer's group?

That's pretty cool about your book being "optioned." Does that mean it's being considered for publication?

Will look forward to hearing ypur updates!

Congratulations Ellen! I can't wait to see the movie when it comes out. Make sure that you make an appearance in the movie - maybe as a passenger ordering a beverage from the person that's portraying you.
