Test Time

Uggh... just had my mid-term in Narrative Strategies class and tomorrow my take-home test for History of Radio and TV is due. I did manage to swing by happy hour this evening, though.

Anyhow, thanks, you all, for all the insights and suggestions (yes, even the anonymous poster who called Obama a "Muslim")! Pls keep them coming! I'll post the poll tomorrow. Am hoping to have some time to seriously work on the screenplay this weekend. I've got the turning points down, but am stuck on how to start it. I mean, how do you show the start of a blog and make it interesting? And, what should be the catalyst/inciting incident (that gets the story underway)?

Hey, why not play yourself?

I'm thinking of playing me in my Musical, or whever the proncipal gal is. Pinky LaRue? Esther Von Vandervester?

How to show that start of a blog and make it interesting? What would Meg Ryan do?

Catalyst? How about a chance meeting at a coffeeshop? An escaped lion from the zoo? A taxi that fails to arrive for an airport run? A bag of oranges that spills to a subway floor? Burnt toast?

how true to your story of how you started your blog do you want to keep it to? or do you think you'll want to take some dramtic license to it in how it starts? i'd like to picture your movie starting with an opening scene at your hub with a voiceover by either you or the voice of the actress playing you giving someking of opening solilquy to the audience. just my 2 cents.
